Trinity senior RB has huge game as Rocks roll 49-0

Trinity senior Derek Bishop ran for 201 yards and sophomore Dalyn Dawkins ran for 115 in a 49-0 win over Eastern Friday night, setting up a district showdown between Trinity and Ballard next week at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium.

The Shamrocks piled up 408 yards of total offense and limited the Eagles to just 152 total yards.

Bishop ran for three touchdowns to go with his 200-plus yard game, including scoring runs of 3, 14, and 1. Dawkins had two touchdowns and showed flashes of what's to come for the Trinity ground attack.

Coming off a week where he tied a school record for touchdowns passes in a game (seven), not much was needed from the Rocks' Travis Wright. The sophomore quarterback did account for the game's first score on an 11-yard strike to sophomore wide receiver James Quick at the 9:06 mark in the first quarter. Cornerback Ryan Frederick also returned an interception for a touchdown for the second straight week.

Trinity has now won four straight games after its 17-10 loss to Cincinnati St. Xavier on Sept. 17.
