Sacred Heart Academy senior takes on the Questions

Each week, will be getting to know a new student-athlete from the area by asking him/her a series of 20 questions - some in-depth, some lighthearted - that will provide insight into the thoughts and personalities of the boys and girls who are doing great things on and off the local courts, fields, tracks, and courses.

On Thursday night, the Sacred Heart Academy lacrosse team will attempt to capture the program's first state title, as the Valkyries battle Kentucky Country Day at the University of Louisville Lacrosse Stadium in the high school girls state championship game.

One of the primary factors in SHA's run to the title game this season, a consistent force who has been the anchor of her team, is the person who Sacred Heart Academy Head Coach Brandon Davis calls "hands down, the best goalie in the state," senior Allison Eisner.

A rock between the pipes for SHA, Eisner has played varsity all four years and is a team captain for the 2011 squad. She started playing lacrosse during her 8th grade year at Holy Trinity Elementary and has never looked back. Her efforts and accomplishments at SHA have afforded Eisner the opportunity to attend Centre College next year to continue her career.

Additionally, Eisner has been a team manager for the varsity soccer team for the past four years, and also assisted as a student trainer for the soccer and basketball teams. Her Valkyrie spirit is unmatched and has been vital to all of the teams she's been associated with, especially the LAX team with which she will attempt to make school history on Thursday.
