Maynard Added To 2011-12 Bellarmine Roster
DeSales grad rounds out defending champs' final roster
The defending NCAA champion Bellarmine University men's basketball team finalized its 2011-12 roster on Thursday, and DeSales High School graduate Corbin Maynard was included on that list.
A 5-foot-10 guard for the Colts and Head Coach John Mingus, Maynard averaged 8.2 points, 2.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds a game as a senior. He earned Second Team All 6th Region honors last year and was named to the All “A” Classic All Tournament Team two years in a row.
“It’s a blessing to be a part of this program and to play with this group of guys,” Maynard said. “I’ve watched them the last couple of years, and I love the way Bellarmine plays team-oriented basketball. “
Maynard joins freshmen Ryan Burton and Stephen Asihene and transfers Richie Phares (University of Louisville) and Jelani Johnson (Western Illinois) as members the 2011-12 Bellarmine recruiting class.
