Flaherty, Richardson lead Toppers in Silver Division

The 2nd Annual Midwest Catholic Cross Country Championships went off at Indian Riffle Park near Dayton, OH on Saturday, and Presentation Academy performed well with a third place finish in the women's Silver Division.

Toppers sophomore Emily Flaherty finished third overall (20:35) to lead Pres. She was followed by senior Casey Richardson (5th; 20:59), freshman Courtney Carrico (13th; 21:30), senior Kayla Payne (14th; 21:35) and freshman Caroline Gosser (53rd; 25:00).

Presentation seniors Lauren Conklin (72nd; 26:43) and Lillian Femi (80th; 35:15) also completed the women's race for the Toppers.

With those performances, Pres accumulated 86 points and finished third behind Illinois' Joliet Catholic (1st with 71 points) and Ohio's Bishop Ready (2nd with 79 points).

The MCCCC draws the traditional Catholic schools from Ohio, as well as teams from Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. The meet, formerly know as the All Ohio Catholic Cross Country Championships, is hosted by Dayton Carroll High School's Cross Country Program.

The All Ohio Catholic Meet started in 1995.
