Last week’s highlights:

Basketball: The Colts traveled to Walden on Jan. 29 and came away with a 69-19 victory as sophomore Jacob Gray knocked down a trio of three-pointers and led the way with 15 points. Gray was backed by four players with eight points each: senior forward James Davenport and sophomores  Dillon Sievert, Justin Gardner and Eric Johnson.

DeSales took on Oldham County the next night in a game that was rescheduled due to the Colts’ participation in the Louisville Invitational Tournament. Sophomore Chase Shellman scored 19 points, but the Colonels won 58-51, dropping DeSales’ record to 14-10. Juniors Daniel Breedlove (13 points) and Nathan Roush (10) also scored in double figures.

Coming up:

**NOTICE – Due to bad weather, the DeSales vs. Christian Academy game has been moved to Feb.  11.  It has also been declared a WHITE OUT.

Basketball: The Colts travel to North Hardin on Tuesday to take on the Trojans (16-7). DeSales will return to the hardwood on Friday to play visiting Iroquois (14-9).

Wrestling: The Colts head to the regional tournament Saturday at Holy Cross. The team is led by senior Ricky Standafer, junior Colton Elkins and sophomore Nathan Thompson. Each of these wrestlers made it to the state tournament last year in their respective weight classes and are looking to repeat.
