Trinity and St. Xavier participated in the first KHSAA Bass Fishing State Tournament this past weekend at the Ken Lake Marina in Marshall County.

Two weeks ago St. Xavier came out on top in the regional tournament. But this time it was Andrew Mitchell and Will O’Burke from Trinity that came out on top from the Louisville area. The duo hooked three fish on the first day for seven pounds and five fish for ten pounds on day two as they placed 16th out of the 42 groups.

Trevor Hulsey and Brendan Christ placed 23rd for the Shamrocks. They caught three fish for 15 pounds over the two days. Tanner Nettleship and Kyle Muennich placed 37th for the Rocks as they caught four fish for eight pounds.

Luke Miller and David Ryan Brewer were the only two anglers entered for St. Xavier and placed 36th as they caught three fish for a total of eight pounds.
