Each week, LouisvilleCatholicSports.com will be getting to know a new student-athlete from the area by asking him/her a series of 20 questions that will provide insight into the thoughts and personalities of the boys and girls who are doing great things on and off the local courts, fields, tracks, and courses.

  • Current school: Holy Cross High School
  • Current Sports playing: Softball
  • Parish/grade school attended: St. Andrew Academy
  • High school GPA: 3.6
  • Colleges considering or attending: IUS  

1. What is your proudest athletic moment? Being the starting pitcher for the Sixth and Seventh Region junior all-star game and winning the Sixth and Seventh Region junior all-star game. 

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? Some kind of protein granola bar.  

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line  

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? Keilani Rickets, she plays for Oklahoma and is an amazing pitcher. She’s an outstanding hitter for her team. These are the qualities I desire.  

5. What is your favorite movie quote? Lion King: “Hakuna Matata”

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? My faith allows me to cherish my God given talents while putting the game of softball in perspective when it comes to Gods plan for my life.

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Dory of “Finding Nemo.”

8. All time favorite board game? Trouble.

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app? iFunny.

10. What is your favorite local (non chain) restaurant? PRP pizza.

11. What is your favorite reality TV show? Biggest Loser.

12. What is your greatest fear? Big crowded areas.

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? I’m very happy and bubbly around people. You will always see a smile on my face.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Reese’s cup or Gummy bears.

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? 5 p.m. because that is when we have to meet up for softball games or practice, and it’s the time I get to meet up with my teammates and/or friends.

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it? Mad-dog, I’m not really sure how I got this; it was just given to me by my teammates. 

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service? Blanket Louisville.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? Secretly, I’m the best bunter on my softball team.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why? I would go back to my junior year of high school. Times were easier and once you left for summer break you always knew you would have another year to spend with your friend’s senior year.

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask? I would ask Steve Jobs what his next big idea was going to be.
