What are you doing at 3 p.m. Thursday? If you don’t have plans, come watch some of Louisville’s biggest celebrities bowl at Fern Valley Strike and Spare.

Billy Reed’s Louisville Catholic Sports Network Holy Rollers will square off with Dave Jennings’ and Tony Vanetti’s 790 Afternoon Gutterdogs to determine who gets bragging rights and to help needy children through Blessings in a Backpack.

Bellarmine University head basketball coach Scotty Davenport, Bellarmine freshman shooting guard Rusty Troutman, The Voice Tribune’s Angie Fenton, Leon Middleton of WHAS and Chris Ellison, a champion high school bowler, will compete for the Holy Rollers.

Bill Powers, a member of the Louisville Bowling Hall of Fame, Mike Wolfe, a four-time winner on the PBA Tour, Cindi Sullivan of WHAS-840 and WAVE-3 meteorologist Andy Weingarten will bowl for the 790 Afternoon Gutterdogs.

Although the event is free, we highly encourage that you donate to Blessings in a Backpack. Those who can’t make it can listen to the broadcast of the event on the Afternoon Underdogs Show on WKRD-790.

You can still donate and make a difference if you can’t make it. To get involved, go to Blessingsinabackpack.org and choose either the Gutterdogs or the Holy Rollers. All proceeds will go to Blessings in a Backpack.
