The KHSAA has announced seedings and pairings for this week’s boys’ and girls’ individual and doubles tennis state tournament.


In the boys’ individual bracket, St. X’s Brandon Lancaster is seeded No. 2 after finishing as state runner-up last year. The junior will play Lee County’s Dillon Moore in the first round.

The Tigers' Drew Singerman is seeded fifth and will face KaiKai Suvimolstea of Oneida Baptist in the first round.

Matt Graft and Nick Waldeck, St. X’s top doubles team, is seed No. 2 and will square off with Middlesboro’s Owen Collins and Micah  Robbins to start the tournament.

St. X’s Coleman Cox and Nick Quinones are seeded No. 3. The pair will face Covington Catholic’s Jake Haught and Nathan Wichmann in the first round.

Trinity’s Mustafa Gardezi and Wesley Tolsdorf are seeded fifth in doubles and will take on Montgomery County’s Will Razor and Connor Davis in the opening round.


Caroline Walters is Sacred Heart’s top individual and is seeded fifth. She will battle Mercer County’s Kyleigh Murray in the first round.

Sacred Heart’s Abbey MacMillan is unseeded and will take on Paducah Tighman’s Emily West in the opening round.

Presentation’s Ellen Denham is unseeded and faces fifth-seeded Eva Borders of St. Francis to start the tournament.

Natalie Dahlem and Ashlyn Roberts are Sacred Heart’s top doubles team. The pair is seeded fifth and will square off with Rose Hill’s Myriah Porter and Sarah Powell.

And there will be rivalry match in the first round of the doubles tournament. Assumption’s Kelly and Carolyn Morris will take on Sacred Heart’s Ashley Hammons and Mary Elaine Kuo.
