Name:  Kasey Kinsey

Age: 17

Current School: Mercy Academy

Current Sports Playing: Softball

Parish/Grade School Attended:  St. Aloysius Gonzaga Academy

Colleges Considering or Attending: I am undecided as of now but I’m considering Bellarmine, EKU, ISU, Asbury, and Morehead State.

1. What is your proudest athletic moment? Being a three time regional champ.

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? Taco Bell with some teammates and drinking some pineapple juice.

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? Carrie Underwood – Temporary Home

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? I look up to Mike Trout. His dedication and passion for the game is unbelievable. He is a really inspiring athlete.

5. What is your favorite movie quote? Wedding Crashers "Rule #76. No excuses, play like a champion."

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? Faith has a big impact on me when it comes to sports. 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' – Philippians 4:13.

This verse pushes me to do the best I can every day and to never give up. Christ gives me courage to do the things I struggle with and he gave me the passion to play the game I love. As long as God is for me, it doesn't matter who is against me.

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Spongebob!

8. All-time favorite board game? Monopoly

9. Droid, iPhone, or blackberry? Favorite App? Droid, Clash of Clans!

10. What is your favorite local restaurant? Oriental House and Cheddars

11. What is your favorite reality show? The Bachelor/Bachelorette

12. What is your greatest fear? Spiders

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? I always have a smile on my face everywhere I go.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Taco Bell definitely!

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? Around noon when I wake up and do fun outdoor stuff with my family!

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it? I have several nicknames. My travel team calls me Doc, because one time my teammate got hurt and I ran over and acted like I was a doctor so the nickname Doc kind of stuck!

My parents call me “Beep” or “Beep Beep” because when I was younger I was always under their feet and they would say beep beep to get me out of the way.

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service? The animal shelter.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? I don't know if you'd call tree climbing a hidden talent, but I love to do it and I'm pretty good at it.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - To travel forward or backward - Which would you select and why? I would definitely want to travel backward to my parents’ time. I am super close to my mom Jennifer and would love to see us both as teenagers. We would be best friends, just like we are now, and no doubt we would have a blast together!

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask? I would choose my "little brother" you could say; Nathan Haycraft, who passed away from cancer when he was nine years old. I would ask him if he is still watching over me and his family.
