Bellarmine University field hockey Coach Mark Blankenbaker has completed his 2015 recruiting class with the addition of two Louisville high school products in Mollie Reece and Madeline Wise.

A forward and team captain from Christian Academy of Louisville who was nominated for Kentucky's Miss Field Hockey award, Reece was chosen first-team Kentucky Select in 2013 and 2014 along with being named to the Kentucky Junior and Senior All-Star teams.

In addition to receiving Christian Academy's team MVP honor her final two prep seasons, Reece was nominated for the Rachel Caroline Baker Memorial Sportsmanship Award. She played for Coach Stanley Phulpagar at CAL and for Brittany Tolan with the Bluegrass Elite club team.

"Mollie has the speed and skill to play at a very high level, and we are very excited to sign her," Blankenbaker said. "Mollie's ball skills and knowledge of the game will add depth to our experienced attack line. Mollie is an aggressive player who will work well on the field with our team against our D-II competitors."

A defender and team captain from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Wise was chosen second-team Kentucky Select in 2014 and to the All-Tournament team at the 2014 Apple Tournament. She played for Liz Lewis and Eleanor Mitchell at Sacred Heart and for Yasser Hayat and Abbey Heird with the IFHCK club team.

"We are really excited to add Maddie to our team," Blankenbaker said. "She will fit in very well with our current team, as she played with IFHCK with several of our players. Maddie is a strong and smart defender who anchored the Sacred Heart defense last season. Very well-coached and accustomed to winning, Maddie will add a lot of knowledge and skill to our defensive line."

Wise and Reece join Caroline Krill (Sacred Heart Academy), Dana Hemingway (Westview High School, San Diego, Calif.) and Katie Jo Hollkamp (Mercy Academy, Louisville) in the 2015 recruiting class.
