Notre Dame takes down St. Bernard

Notre Dame ended St. Bernard's unbeaten season with a 39-20 victory Sunday. 

A safety put Notre Dame up 2-0 when St. Bernard ran into trouble on their second drive of the game. 

Notre Dame went up 10-0 when Lex Thomas scrambled in from two yards out. 

 

Jack Sivori's 20-yard touchdown pass to Brady Willis cut Notre Dame's lead to 10-6. Grant Goodman ran it in for the PAT. 

 

Sivori connected with Willis for a 20 yard touchdown as time expired at the end of the first putting Notre Dame in a 14-10 halftime hole. 

 

Thomas gave Notre Dame a 18-14 lead when he returned a kickoff 40 yards for a touchdown. 

 

The Saints scored again on their next drive with a two-yard run by Thomas putting St. Bernard in a  26-14 hole. 

 

The Wildcats scored on their next drive off a Sivori threw a seven yard touchdown pass to Garrett Koestel cutting Notre Dame's lead to 26-20. 

 

The Saints extended their lead to 33-20 with a 30-yard pass from Jayden Scroggins to Nathan Coulter.  

 

On the next drive Notre Dame’s Zach Thompson forced St.Bernard’s Sivori to fumble the ball giving the ball back to the Saints.  

 

Thomas ran the ball for a 55-yard touchdown in to decide the final margin. 

 

The playoffs start next week.
