St. Bernard cruises past unbeaten St. Edwards

St. Bernard defeated visiting St. Edwards 34-14 Sunday in the second to last regular season game.


Justin Allen’s 1-yard quarterback sneak gave St. Edwards a 6-0 lead on the first drive of the game. Austin Baugh missed the PAT.


St. Bernard’s Cameron Greenwell picked off St. Edwards quarterback Bradley West. That eventually led to Chase Mayer’s 5-yard touchdown run tying the game at six just before halftime.  


Mayer’s 20-yard touchdown run and Collin Lococo made the PAT putting St. Bernard up 14-6 early in the third quarter.


St. Bernard kept the momentum going when Jack Sivori’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Brady Willis put the Braves in a 20-6 hole.  


Mayer’s ran back an interception 30 yards giving St. Bernard a 28-6 lead. Lococo made the PAT.


St. Edwards’ Landon Simpson’s 20-yard touchdown run cut the St. Bernard lead to 28-14.


The last touchdown of the game was a 5-yard run from Grant Goodman to give the Wildcats a 32-14 lead. The PAT by Lococo decided the final margin.
