Former St. Xavier and University of Alabama golfer Justin Thomas has become the first PGA Tour golfer to sign an endorsement deal with GoPro.

"As an avid social media user I have always been a fan of GoPro content and can’t wait to capture and share moments of my life with my social following through a GoPro lens,” Thomas said in a press release on gopro.com. "As a Tour player we get to travel the world and see and do some amazing things. Not only will I be capturing my own photos and videos, I will also be collaborating with the team at GoPro to create some new and unique golf content.”

Thomas is only 22 years old and is currently ranked 37th in the world and 5th on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points race as he prepares to play in his second full PGA season.

While at St. X, Thomas was Kentucky’s Mr. Golf as a junior in 2009 and a two-time team state champion. Thomas busted onto the college scene with four straight wins that propelled his team to an NCAA runner-up finish as a freshman and set the school record that season with a stroke average of 70.44 in 36 rounds at 12 events.
