1. What is your proudest athletic moment? My freshman year against Sacred Heart in softball. I started varsity game in right field and caught a fly ball and threw a girl out at home who was trying to tag and score from third base. We won the game, and that play really boosted my confidence and love for the game.

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? My ideal pregame snack are any type of Cheez-its.

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? I would sing Stay with Me By Sam Smith. I get really dramatic when I sing and that song is perfect for it.

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? I look up to Jessica Mendoza most because she allowed her love for the game to take her far in life. The things she did on the field and off the field inspire me to be the best person and teammate that I can be, instead of focusing on just being a good player.

5. What is your favorite movie quote? “Quit, don’t quit…Noodles, don’t noodles…You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” – Kung Fu Panda

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? My faith impacts my approach to sports because it moves me to always respect my teammates and my opponents.

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Spongebob Squarepants

8. All-time favorite board game? Monopoly

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app? iPhone; favorite app is Trivia Crack

10. What is your favorite local restaurant? Café Mimosa

11. What is your favorite reality TV show? Dance Moms

12. What is your greatest fear? My greatest fear is failing or drowning

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? I’m extremely enthusiastic and will try my hardest to make everyone else on the team excited.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Peach Rings or Sea Salt and Vinegar Chips

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? 6 p.m. because I’m normally getting out of practice and by that time traffic is very relaxed and I can listen to some good music.

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it? Most people call me Metzger or Sarah and Coach Shover calls me Metzy because it’s short and catchy.

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service? My favorite place to volunteer is Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? I am pretty good at drawing.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why? I would travel backwards because I’d rather see why and how technology evolved than worry about what might happen in the future.

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask? I would pick Albert Einstein and I would ask him why he cared about the things he discovered and if he regretted building the atomic bomb.
