Assumption, Holy Cross, and Mercy ranked in KSCA poll

The Assumption, Mercy, and Holy Cross softball teams are ranked in this week’s Kentucky High School Softball Coaches Association poll.
Mercy is ranked No. 13 and is 12-8. The Jaguars beat Jeffersontown 4-2 in a 24th District game Monday night.
Holy Cross is ranked No. 16 and is 11-7 and lost to No. 1 Scott County 5-4 Monday night. The Cougars are preparing for next weekend’s All “A” Classic Statewide Tournament in Owensboro.
Assumption is 6-13 but re-enters the poll having played one of the toughest schedules in the state. The Rockets picked up a win against Simon Kenton Saturday ending an 11 game losing streak.
