The boys’ lacrosse regular season will end in about two weeks and St. Xavier and Trinity appear to be the favorites once more.

St. X has won the last three state titles – having beaten Trinity in two of those championship games – Trinity last won the title in 2013.

Currently, St. X is the No. 1 ranked team in Kentucky according to LaxPower. The Tigers have a computer ranking of 0.7416 while Trinity is No. 2 with a 0.6941 ranking.

If the two teams are to meet in the state playoffs again, it will be the second these two teams have squared off this season.

St. X won the regular season matchup 7-5 and is currently 12-2 with both of their two losses coming to Virginia schools over spring break.

The Tigers will close their regular season with games against Lexington Catholic, Henry Clay, and Cincinnatti St. Xavier.
