Thomas finishes in ninth at U.S. Open

Justin Thomas fell short of winning his first major PGA championship at the U.S. Open at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin Sunday afternoon.

One day after shooting a historic 9-under-par, the St. Xavier alum shot a 3-over-par 75 to finish with four day score of 8-under-par 280 and placed ninth.

The former Tiger began the day in the final group with Brian Hartman who shot a 72 and came in third place.

Brooks Koepka shot a 67 Sunday in the final round and finished with a four day score of 16-under-par to win his first ever major title.
