* Trinity’s golf team won the Lafayette Invite in Lexington Friday to start their season off on a high note. J.M. Butler won the individual title in a playoff over St. Xavier’s Drew Doyle. The Tigers finished second as a team behind the Rocks.

* The Sacred Heart golf team is off to a hot start after winning the Shelby County Invitational Friday and the David Parsons Invitational in Taylor County Saturday.

* On Saturday, Trinity finished second behind Taylor County, St. Xavier finished third, and Holy Cross finished in finished 16th at Taylor County’s David Parsons Invite.

* The Holy Cross boys’ golf team finished in third at the Taylor County Invite. Luke Wise was the individual runner-up.

* Assumption sophomore volleyball player Anna DeBeer announced her commitment to the University of Louisville last week.

* Trinity defensive lineman Stephen Herring Junior announced his commitment to Michigan over Stanford, Ohio State, UK, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas, and Alabama.
