Ben Rhodes will try to keep momentum on his side during Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

The Louisville native heads to the Great Lake State following a season-best second place finish at Pocono Raceway. With four races remaining before the playoffs, Rhodes has yet to win this season, but is currently in position to advance to the postseason on points.

"The pressure to win is there, but I am past that,” says Rhodes. “I went into the Pocono race with a clear mind, and a relaxed, conservative mindset, and it paid off. Several times during that race we were put in bad situations, and had I not played it safe, we would have wrecked. I will be doing the same thing for the next four races.”

At Pocono, Rhodes started from the pole and spent most of the day in the top five. Pit strategy relegated Rhodes to the middle of pack, but he rallied in the closing laps to finish second. His strong performance followed back to back finishes outside the top 25. Rhodes’ next test comes at the two-mile D-shaped oval at Michigan, where he finished sixth in his first trip to the track in 2016.

"I think Michigan is a great track for ThorSport, but a huge key to their success is teamwork. Drafting is a big part of the racing there, so having three awesome teammates to work with is a big plus,” said Rhodes.

The Holy Cross graduate ranks sixth in the CWTS points standings, but rival Ryan Truex is only one behind and Grant Enfinger trails Rhodes by just five points.

Race coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. on FOX. Fans in the Louisville area are invited to attend a watch party at Roosters on Preston Highway starting at 1:00.
