The Sacred Heart and Trinity basketball teams are ranked in the first Associated Pres poll of the season that was released Monday afternoon.

Sacred Heart is 10-4 but has only has one loss to a Kentucky team and that was to top-ranked Mercer County on the road.

Trinity is 13-1 and is the top-ranked boys team in the state. The Rocks only loss was to Fern Creek, who is ranked No. 3, in the King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic championship game.
