Football preview: Third round

The third-week of the football playoffs have arrived. DeSales is on the road while St. Xavier and Trinity both have home games.

DeSales at Christian Academy, Class 2-A (third-round), 7:30 p.m.

DeSales quarterback: Aaron Pfaadt - 107 of 206 for 1,630 yards, 17 touchdown, five interceptions, and 109 rushes for 532 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Christian Academy of Louisville quarterback: Anthony Sabatino - Completed 112 of 176  passes for 1,386 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

DeSales running backs: Darren Hollenkamp - 60 rushes for 290 yards and one touchdown and Antoine Johnson - 111 rushes for 661 yards and seven touchdowns.

Christian Academy of Louisville running backs: Harrison Zimmer - 961 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns on 135 carries and Jacob Sutherland - 118 yards rushing and one touchdown on 27 carries.

DeSales wide receivers: Jayden Scroggins - 16 catches for 254 yards and three touchdowns, Antoine Johnson - 21 catches for 282 yards and three touchdowns, and Demitri Scott - 28 catches for 467 yards and five touchdowns.

Christian Academy of Louisville wide receivers: Milton Wright - 57 catches for  yards and 10 touchdowns and James Luke Leeper - 15 catches for 260 yards and 10 scores.

Top DeSales defensive players: Darren Hollenkamp - 44 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, and one fumble recovery and Amos Griffith - 71 tackles, 19.5 for a loss, and three interceptions.

Top Christian Academy of Louisville defensive players: Justin Howes - 58 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 7 defensive sacks, one interception and Braeden Babin - 50 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 8.5 defensive sacks, and two fumbles forced and two fumbles recovered.

Ballard  at Trinity, Class 6-A (third-round), 7:30 p.m.

Trinity quarterback: Seth Jutz - Completed 78 of 128 passes for 877 yards and nine touchdowns and four interceptions.

Ballard quarterback: Larry Cummings - Completed 64 of 104 passes for 883 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions..

Trinity running backs: Geremiah Smith - 101 carries for 599 yards and nine scores and Luke McGuire - 297 yards rushing on 46 carries and six touchdowns, Carter Martin - 89 carries for 500 yards and eight scores.

Ballard running backs: Jayden Farmer - 820 yards rushing and 11 scores on 126 carries and Telly Byrd - 240 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 36 carries.

Trinity wide receivers: Ryan Miller - 28 catches for 542 yards and eight touchdowns, Liam Gray - 17 catches for 198 yards and a score, and Kaelan Racculia - 10 catches for 130 yards.

Top Ballard wide receivers: Elijah Downing - 31 catches for 521 yards and six touchdowns and Paul Mullaney - 20 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

Top Trinity defensive players: Tyler Roberson - 36.5 tackles, 12 for a loss, and eight sacks and Charles Ely - 39 tackles, eight for a loss, and one sack.

Top Ballard defensive players: Justice Thompson- 118 tackles and eight sacks and Terrance Hearn - 22 tackles and three interceptions.

Male at St. Xavier, Class 6-A (third-round), 7:30 p.m.

St. X quarterback: Douglas Bohdaine - 69 of 109 for 782 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions and 71 rushes for 386 yards and eight touchdowns.

Male quarterback: Garrett Dennis - Completed 135 of 203 passes for 2,031 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

St. X running backs: Anthony Moretti - 142 rushes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns and 25 catches for 302 yards and a score and Logan Davis - 35 rushes for 287 yards and four scores.

Male running backs: Quantrell Wright - 588 yards rushing and six touchdowns on 103 carries and Tony Mosley 359 yards and four touchdowns on 65 carries.

Top St. X wide receivers: Aric Lyons - 26 catches for 301 yards and a touchdown, Andre Coleman - Nine catches for 242 yards and two touchdowns, and Grant Goodman - 15 catches for 180 yards and one touchdowns.

Top Male wide receivers: Geremiah Edison - 25 catches for 445 yards and five scores and Michael Warner - 41 catches for 497 yards and nine touchdowns.

Top St. X defensive players: Quinn Owen - 79 tackles, five for a loss, two fumble forced and recovered, three defensive sacks, and three interceptions for 46 yards and Richard Bascom - 59 tackles, 10  for a loss, one fumble recovered, and eight defensive sacks.

Top Male defensive players: Dallas Douglas - 54 tackles, seven for loss and three defensive sacks  and Deris Cox - 57 tackles, three defensive sacks, and one forced fumble.
