The Louisville Catholic Sports Network is fortunate to cover a lot of dynasties when it comes to the men’s sports, here are our top five at the conclusion of the 2017-18 school-year. Only KHSAA sports are included in this list.

5. St. Xavier Baseball

What a run it has been. Ever since winning the state title in 2014, the Tigers have won the state championship in each even year since. St. X may have not won the Seventh Region in the 2015 or 2017, but they have won three state championships in the past five years.

4. St. Xavier Cross Country

Another true dynasty coached by a legend - Chuck Medley - the Tigers have won three straight titles, six in the past seven years, and seven in the past nine years. The one year they have lost in the past in the past seven years was by a mere one-point.

3. Trinity Football

For most areas this would easily be the best dynasties, it’s No. 2 for. Their currently on a 30 game winning streak, have won two straight Class 6-A State Titles, and have won 13 state titles since Bob Beatty took over as head coach in 2000..

2. St. Xavier Tennis

The Tigers have quite the tennis dynasty going on. And to say they have been dominant is an understatement. St. X has won 10 straight state titles and 17 in the past 18 years. The run doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.

1. St. Xavier Swimming

This one is a no brainer. You can’t argue with 30 straight state championships. It’s an incredible feat that hardly any other high school around the country can claim feat too. The Tigers are the favorite year-end and year-out, until somebody takes down the Kentucky Swim King, it will always be the No. 1 dynasty in Kentucky.
