Revell: 10 predictions for the fall (boys)

LCSN Managing Editor Conor Revell has made 10 predictions for the boys 2018 fall season. Some of his predictions will be right, some will be wrong.

Trinity football sees their winning streak come to an end, but goes unbeaten against Kentucky foes, and captures a third straight state championship.

Holy Cross football goes 7-3 and wins a district championship for the first time in the second Bob Bronger era.

Taylor County golf dominates the entire season, but St. Xavier and Trinity golf show up to Bowling Green Country Club and dominate finishing No. 1 and No. 2 and holds off the favorite.

St. Xavier football goes 9-1 in the regular season under the guidance of first-year head coach Kevin Wallace and makes important strides when it comes to catching up to Trinity.

DeSales football loses to Christian Academy in the regular season again, but comes back to win the regional title in November and advances to at least the Class 2-A semifinals.

St. Xavier soccer and Andy Schulten win another Seventh Region title and go onto win their second consecutive state championship. Conner George is named Mr. Kentucky Soccer.

Trinity soccer has another fantastic season and spend most of the year in the top five, but can’t overcome it’s archrival.

DeSales soccer gets back on track and wins their first 22nd District championship since the 2014 season.

Holy Cross cross country repeats and wins their second straight Class A state title, Keeton Thornsberry finishes a stellar career by winning individual race for a third straight time.

St. Xavier cross country holds off Trinity to win their fourth straight Class 3-A state championship.
