Four members of the Bellarmine University women's golf team were recognized as All-American Scholars for 2017-18 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

The four Knights include senior Katie Gathof and sophomores Savannah Trussell, Margaret Brown and Bailey Wiegandt.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Gathof made it a career sweep, earning the prestigious accolade all four years of her career. Trussell has received it both years at Bellarmine, while Brown and Wiegandt garnered their first acknowledgements.
