The week ahead: Golf state tournaments set
This week marks the final week of the soccer regular season. District tournaments will start next Monday, with regionals the following week.
The volleyball regular season has two weeks remaining. Assumption plays in two marquee matches this week. The Rockets will square off with Mercy in a showdown of the two best teams in the country Thursday. On Sunday, the Rockets will play archrival Sacred Heart.
The Sacred Heart, St. Xavier and Trinity golf teams will play in the Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac/KHSAA State Tournament. Sacred Heart is looking to win its fourth straight team state title, St. X has been the state runner-up the past two years, and Trinity makes its first trip to state since 2007.
