St. Xavier announced that Davis Boland will be their next head golf coach Thursday, he replaces  Patrick Sullivan who was the top guy for two seasons.

Davis, a four-year member of the Tiger golf team, graduated from St. X in 1989, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton. He earned first team All-Conference honors twice as a member of the Flyer golf team.

“I’m thrilled to take on this opportunity to work with David and Curt to continue the great tradition of St. X golf,” Boland said in a press release. “I want to help student-athletes achieve individual and team goals, and to grow the game with the use of the state-of-the-art Musselman Golf Center on campus.”

David Shearn and Curt White will serve as assistant coaches.

Shearn graduated in 2009 and played for both St. X and Bellarmine University, and served as an assistant golf professional at both Audubon Country Club and Louisville Country Club in 2013.

“The Saint Xavier golf program has a storied tradition of both team and individual success,” St. X athletic director Alan Donhoff said. “We are very excited that Davis, David and Curt have agreed to be the leaders of our program and to work together to help our student-athletes pursue their dreams.”

White, a 2003 St. X graduate, is a member of the Leadership Team at the school, where he currently serves as Director of Admissions.
